JAKARTA, RABU - Gabungan Industri Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia (Gaikindo) kembali akan menggelar pemeran otomotif bertaraf internasional atau The 16th Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). Pameran bertema 'Advanced Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufactures' ini akan berlangsung pada 11-20 Juli 2008 di Jakarta Convention Center.

Pameran yang diakui The International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufactures (OICA) ini akan menempati lahan seluas sekitar 18.000 meter persegi.

Hingga hari ini, Rabu (26/3) sudah ada Agen Tunggal Pemegang Merek (ATPM) yang akan turut serta. Agen-agen yang akan berpartisipasi yakni Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Daihatsu, Ford, Isuzu, Hyundai, Suzuki, Mazda, Foton, Great Wall, Cherry, Mercedez, Volvo, Audi, Proton, Volks Wagen, Nissan, Jaguar, KIA. Sementara itu, industri pendukung otomotif lainnya memenuhi seluruh area Pre-Function Hall A dan B, Lower Lobby, dan Temporary Hall.

Selaku pelaksana IIMS 2008, pihak Dyandra Promosindo mengatakan acara IIMS 2008 akan lebih meriah dengan kehadiran Community-Club Gathering (konvoi klub mobil), the 4th automotif design and styling competition, best stand, pemilihan miss motor show, best car, exhibitor's night, lomba menggambar dan mewarnai buat anak-anak.

Penyelenggara akan menyiapkan fasilitas pendukung untuk kenyamanan pengunjung. Shuttle bus akan disediakan secara gratis dari parkir timur Senayan menuju gerbang pameran, dan sebaliknya. Area pameran juga akan dilengkapi dengan smoking area, food and beverages area, snack bar, business center, mushola, ambulan dan ruang medis, koneksi internet, media center, serta ruang meeting.

Untuk tiket masuk, pengunjung akan dikenakan biaya sebesar Rp30ribu selama hari Senin hingga Kamis. Sementara pada Jumat hingga Minggu, harga tiketnya Rp35ribu. Khusus buat anak-anak berusia di bawah lima tahun dan para lansia di atas 65 tahun akan dibebaskan biaya masuknya. (SMS)
